Men's Golf Wraps Up Big Ten Match Play

EAST LANSING, Mich. - In its final competition of the 2010 Big Ten Match Play Championship, the Michigan State men's golf team beat Wisconsin, 4.5-1.5, on Saturday morning at the Heron Bay Golf Club in Coral Springs, Fla.
Senior Jack Newman had the biggest win of the morning for the Spartans with a 4&3 victory over Brady Keegan in the No. 1 position. Playing in the second spot, freshman James Ross knocked off Scott Newton, 3&2, while sophomore Dan Ellis beat Michael Sorenson, 2&1 at No. 3.
Sophomore Chris Mory picked up his second win at the Big Ten Match Play Championship today, winning 1-up over Same Frank in the sixth spot. Freshman Matthew Moseley halved Anthony Aicher at No. 5.
The Spartans do not return to competition until March 9 for the Green and White in Hilton Head, S.C.
