Kurtis Frymier Throws No-Hitter in Summer League Game

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State pitcher Kurtis Frymier threw a complete-game no-hitter in as the St. Cloud River Bats downed LaCrosse Loggers, 2-0, on Wednesday (June 17). It was the second no-hitter in River Bats history and the 10th no-no in Northwoods League history.
Frymier struck out four and walked two batters in the seven-inning game. At one point, he retired 14 consecutive and after issuing a walk to the leadoff hitter in the seventh and final inning, he retired the next three to end the game.
Wednesday's start was the first of the year for the Midland, Mich. native, who is now 1-1 on the year with a 3.28 ERA in 10 appearances.
Frymier finished his junior campaign with MSU with a 5.35 ERA and a 1-3 record in a team-leading 22 appearances. He also had two saves.
