
Williams Leads Spartans at NCAA Zones

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Senior Danielle Williams placed ninth on 3 meter board to lead all Spartans on day one of the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships on Friday (March 13) in Minneapolis, Minn. Freshman Sarah Clay placed 15th.
"Danielle did great in the finals," said MSU diving coach Eric Best. "Sara Clay also did a great job. To get to the finals as a freshman is great."
Alycia Mokedanz took 21st while Jordan Jackson placed 22nd on the 3-meter board. Kayla Kalmbach placed 36th.
The top 10 divers with the highest combined scores will move on to the NCAA Championships which take place March 19-21.
Dave Garry, the only Spartan man competing, took 26th on the 1-meter board.
The women's 1 meter and men's 3-meter finals will take place on Saturday.
