MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Alycia Mokedanz placed 14th and Kayla Kalmbach placed 18th in the finals of the 1-meter dive on Saturday (March 14) at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships in Minneapolis, Minn.
"Kayla is a walk-on is just starting to do some amazing things and this puts in her in a good place going into next year," said MSU diving coach Eric Best. "Alycia dove great today in her final meet. She was 17th and moved up to 14th."
Freshman Sarah Clay finished 20th and sophomore Jordan Jackson placed 21st.
"I'm excited for Sarah getting into the finals yesterday and then doing great again today," said Best. "Jordan also dove well. She is someone who just started diving before college and has a great future ahead of her."
Dave Garry missed making the finals by just three points on the men's side in the 3-meter competition.
"Dave had a really good meet and he and Ivan Zalessov will give us a great one-two punch next year," Best said.
