EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State swimming and diving team will head to Jenison High School on Friday (Nov. 13) to take on Grand Valley State in a dual meet. The dual marks the second consecutive meeting between the schools at Jenison High School.
"We have a lot of kids form around Grand Rapids and that area is very supportive of MSU and our program," said MSU head coach Matt Gianiodis. "They do a great job of hosting the meet and we had a great crowd last year and hope to get another one again this year."
The meet will be just the second of the season for the men's team, as they last competed against Iowa and UW-Milwaukee in a double dual on Oct. 23. For the women, it will be their third meet of the season.
"We are hoping we swim well, since we haven't had a meet in three weeks," said Gianiodis. "We are healthier now so it's important to perform at a higher level than we did at Iowa. We don't have many opportunities to compete this fall, so it's important to take advantage of the meets we have."
