Swimming and Diving Splits with Iowa, UW-Milwaukee

IOWA CITY, Iowa - The Michigan State men's and women's swimming and diving teams split a double-dual meet with Iowa and UW-Milwaukee on Friday (Oct. 23) night in Iowa City, Iowa. Both the MSU men's and women's teams defeated Milwaukee and each fell to Iowa.
"We had some great performances tonight but we also have a lot of work to do," said MSU head coach Matt Gianiodis.
On the women's side, junior Becca Ebner picked up a pair of first-place finishes in the buttery fly as she took the 100 with a time of 56.32 and 200 with a time of 2:05.57. Freshman Jenny Rush also had a solid meet for MSU as she placed second in the 50 free (24.38) and third in the 100 free (53.85).
Junior kevin Puskaric joined Ebner as the other Spartan to pick up two first-place finishes on the day as his 57.68 in the 100 breaststroke and 2:07.26 in the 200 breaststroke were tops in each event.
The MSU women dominated the diving events - led by Sarah Clay and Sarah Mory. Clay took first on the one-meter board (324.35) and second on the three-meter (257.35). Mory took second on the one-meter (266.75) and just finished ahead of Clay to take first on the three-meter platform (257.50).
