
Men's Soccer Drops Exhibition Game to Louisville, 2-1

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's soccer team fell to Louisville, 2-1, Saturday (Aug. 23) night in Fort Wayne, Ind. It was only exhibition game of the season for the Spartans.
Louisville took a 1-0 lead before MSU's Doug DeMartin tied the game off a pass from Spencer Thompson. The Cardinals reclaimed the lead for good in with just one minute remaining he first half and held on for the win, 2-1.
Jeremy Clark played the first half in goal for the Spartans and Avery Steinlage played the second half.
The Spartans open the season Friday (Aug. 29) when they host the MSU/Radisson Fall Classic. MSU takes on Saint Francis (PA) at DeMartin Stadium at Old College Field at 5 p.m. EDT.
