EAST LANSING, Mich. -
The No. 1 seed Michigan State men's soccer team will play Friday (Nov. 14) at noon in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals against the winner of No. 4 seed Northwestern and fifth-seeded Penn State. The tournament is being hosted by the University of Wisconsin. The Spartans, who are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games and 11-5-1 overall, received a first-round bye after winning the regular-season championship by defeating Northwestern, 1-0, on Nov. 2.
Earlier this season, MSU defeated Penn State, 4-3, in State College, Pa. The Spartans' only Big Ten loss came against Ohio State, the tournament's sixth seed.
