Cross Country to Compete in EMU Open on Friday

EAST LANSINGS, Mich. - The Michigan State men's and women's cross country teams will toe the line on Friday (Oct. 24) afternoon at the EMU Open in Ypsilanti. The women's team enters the race ranked No. 9 in the nation while the men's squad ranked fifth in the Great Lakes Region.
"The race will be a really good opportunity for people who likely won't be racing in the Big Ten Championship or NCAA Regional meets," said assistant coach Kim McGreevy. "Having another opportunity to race late in the year is good in looking forward to the track season and even next fall.
In addition to Michigan State and Eastern Michigan, the following teams will be competing in the meet: Michigan, Central Michigan, Toledo and the Michigan Running Club.
