
Women's Tennis Hosts Fall Action In Spartan Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State's women's tennis program hosts its first Spartan Invitational Saturday, Sept. 29-Sunday, Sept. 30 on MSU's campus. The tournament consists of eight flights, which will include participants from Albany, Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Louisville, Michigan State, Morehead State and Toledo.
The Spartans will debut their 2007-08 roster, which includes one senior, three juniors, one sophomore and five freshmen. Juniors Stephanie Kebler and Ana Milosavljevic and freshman Manon Noe opened the season at the William & Mary Invitational in mid-September while senior Christine Bader and freshmen Michelle Murphy and Whitney Wilson return home after competing in Texas Tech's Scarborough Specialties Open last weekend. For the remainder of Michigan State's roster, the Spartan Invitational will be their first action of the season.
On Saturday, doubles will start at 8 a.m. followed by singles rounds at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., while Sunday will feature two morning doubles rounds, (8 and 9:30 a.m.), followed by singles at 2 p.m.
