EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State's women's rowing team will hold novice open tryouts for interested MSU students. Informational meetings regarding the tryout process will be held Wednesday, Sept. 5 or Thursday, Sept. 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the Clara Bell Smith Center Auditorium.
Tryouts will be conducted Monday-Wednesday, Sept. 10-12 and participants will attend one of four tryout times (7-8:30 a.m., 8:30-9 a.m., 3:30-5 p.m. or 5-6:30 p.m.) each day. The final 2007-08 roster will be posted Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. at Jenison Field House, with official practice beginning Thursday, Sept. 13.

Rowers have no weight requirements but are ideally 5'10" or taller. Coxswains should display good leadership qualities with an ideal weight of 115 pounds or less.
For those interested, a physical is required either Thursday, Sept. 6 or Friday, Sept. 7 at the training room in Duffy Daugherty Football building. Please remember to bring a valid driver's license as well as a medical insurance card.
