Spartan Gymnasts Participate In NCAA Central Region Open Practice

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The 19th-ranked Michigan State gymnastics team participated in open practice for the NCAA Central Region Championships on Friday at Coleman Coliseum on the campus of the University of Alabama. The Green and White joined Kentucky, and fellow Big Ten competitor Ohio State in the afternoon practice session.
State will begin the competition on beam during the first rotation, before a bye during the second set. The Green and White will compete on floor during the third rotation and vault during rotation four. After a fifth-round bye, the Spartans will end the event on the uneven bars.
"We're in the right frame of mind going into the meet tomorrow night," Associate Head Coach Randy Lane said. "After two great weeks of practice, we're looking forward to competing for one of the top two spots at tomorrow's competition."
