NORMAN, Okla. - The Michigan State baseball team fell to No. 21 Oklahoma, 5-0, Sunday afternoon at L. Dale Mitchell Park. OU starter Joseph Hughes struck out nine and allowed eight hits in seven shutout innings to earn his fourth victory of the season. The Sooners (17-6) used a four-run first inning to set the tone, keyed by a three-run homer, and added another run in the fifth. Justin Potes and Chris Roberts each collected two hits for the Spartans.
John Dwan (1-2) pitched seven innings in the loss, surrendering four runs on five hits with two strikeouts.
Michigan State (6-8) returns to action for its home opener on Saturday, March 24 to take on Concordia at Kobs Field.
