STANTON WATCH
Junior quarterback Drew Stanton threw a touchdown pass in his 11th consecutive game, extending his school record...he also extended his school record by throwing for over 200 yards in his 11th straight game...he finished with 312 yards on 29-of-46 passing...it marks his sixth-career 300-yard passing game and fourth of the season...the 29 completions matches a career best (2004, at Iowa)...the 49 attempts are a season high.
Stanton tossed two touchdown passes, giving him 21 for the season, which ties him with Jeff Smoker for the most in a Spartan season...Smoker accomplished the feat in 2001 and 2003.
Stanton continued to move up in the Spartan single-season record book and career charts. Here's a look at where Stanton currently stands after today's game:

OFFENSIVE NOTES
Freshman tight end Dwayne Holmes caught a 20-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter...all three of his receptions this season have been for touchdowns.
The Spartans finished with 457 total yards of offense...MSU has gained over 450 yards of total offense in all but one game (at Purdue) this season.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
Freshman kicker Matt Haughey made his first career field goal, a 31-yarder in the second quarter.
Domata Peko blocked a PAT in the fourth quarter...it's the second blocked PAT for MSU this year (Demond Williams, vs. Indiana).
