
Men's Soccer Blanked At Northwestern

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Michigan State men's soccer team lost to Northwestern, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon in Evanston, Ill. With the loss, the Spartans fall to 3-2-4, 0-1-1 in the Big Ten, while the Wildcats improve to 6-3, 1-1.
Northwestern struck early, scoring less than four minutes into the contest on a shot from 30 yards out from John Carlstedt. The score remained 1-0 until the Wildcats got a goal from Daniel Chille in the 74th minute. MSU's Jason Tillman (Jr., Brighton, Mich.) recorded two saves, but Northwestern's Will Briley made five saves for the Wildcats.
The Spartans return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 5, when they host Oakland at 4 p.m.
