
Men's Soccer Loses Double Overtime Heartbreaker To Penn State

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The Michigan State men's soccer team fell to 8-5-0 overall and 2-3-0 in the Big Ten following a 1-0 double overtime loss to Penn State (8-3-5, 1-3-1) at State College.
The Spartan defense held strong for most of the game fending off several Nittany Lion corner kicks and scoring opportunities. MSU netminder Jason Tillman (So., Brighton) made five saves in the contest.
Penn State midfielder Jeff Chambers netted the unassisted-game winning goal at 107:10, to defeat Michigan State. For Chambers it was his first goal of the season.
The Spartans return to action Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. at Western Michigan. Then they return home on Oct. 31 for a conference match with Wisconsin at 1 p.m. at Old College Field.
