Women's Track Competes At Sea Ray Relays

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - After a week off due to poor weather conditions, the Michigan State women's track team returned competition at the Sea Ray Relays, hosted by the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn., on Friday (April 11).
Leading the way for the Spartans was Sherita Williams (Jr., Tampa, Fla.), who took fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 41-04 ?. Her jump was good for third place on the MSU all-time triple jump list. State's Erin Alexander (Sr., Grand Blanc) took 18th in the event, jumping 37-08 ?.
Michelle Martin (So., Richland) cleared a height of 11-02 ? in the pole vault and tied for 10th while in the high jump, Danielle Linenger (So., Washington) tied for 15th along with four others, clearing a height of 5-03 ?.
Lynlee Phillips (Jr., Shamong, N.J.) took 12th in the javelin with a toss of 139-10, good for fourth on the MSU all-time javelin list.
The meet will conclude Saturday (April 12) with events scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m.
