AUSTIN, Texas - Michigan State freshman swimmer Ian Clutten (Capetown, South Africa) competed at the 2003 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships this weekend (March 28-29) in Austin, Texas. The lone Spartan representative, Clutten competed with the nation's top male swimmers in both the 100- and 200-breastsroke events.
Clutten finished 33rd in the 100-breaststroke, touching the wall in a time of 55.61 on Friday, March 28. He placed 31st in the 200-meter breaststroke, clocking in at 2:01.52, on Saturday, March 29, at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center on the University of Texas' campus.
