Women's Track Completes Competition at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Michigan State women's track team completed its first outdoor meet of the season, Saturday (Mar. 29), as the Spartans competed at day two of the Raleigh Relays, hosted by North Carolina State.
Junior Lynlee Phillips (Shamong, N.J.) was the top Spartan finisher on the day, taking fourth in the javelin with a throw of 158-04. Her throw was her third-best of her career and third-best in Michigan State history.
In the hammer throw, Sarah Adelaine (Jr., Harbor Springs) placed eighth and her toss of 169-00 was good for second-best on MSU's all-time list.
Sherita Williams (Jr., Tampa, Fla.) earned another top-10 finish for the Spartans, placing ninth in the triple jump with a leap of 39-09 ?.
Next Saturday (April 5), the Spartans will host the MSU Open.
