Swimming Season Kicks Off With Green and White Meet

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's and women's swimming and diving teams officially kicked off the 2002-03 season with the annual Green and White meet on Friday, Oct. 18, at the Charles McCaffree pool in the IM West Building.
For the first time in two years, the White team emerged victorious in the intra-squad meet, defeating the Green team, 244.5-210.5.
Michigan State begins its third season of competition under head coach Jim Lutz next weekend in Bloomington, Ind. The men's team will compete against Indiana on Friday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m. The Spartan women will join the men in Champaign, Ill., the next day (Oct. 26) for a 10 a.m. meet with Illinois and Missouri.
