Men's Swimming Falls To Northwestern, 131-110

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's swimming and diving team fell to Northwestern, 131-110, Friday night (Jan. 11). MSU falls to 2-3 (0-1 Big Ten) on the season.
Joe Brennan (Jr., Poway, Calif.) paced the men with second-place finishes in the 1000 freestyle (9:25.37) and the 500 freestyle (4:45.18). Joel Hageman (So., Ft. Wayne, Ind.) placed second in the 50 freestyle (21.67), while Aaron Benore (Jr., Grand Blanc, Mich.) took second in the 200 IM (1:56.32). MSU took first in the 200 freestyle relay with a time 1:25.78.
In diving, Patrick Sheahan-Stahl (So., Mt. Pleasant, Mich.) took first place in the 3-meter with a score of 265.73.
MSU returns to action tomorrow (Jan. 12) to face Purdue at 2 p.m. in West Lafayette, Ind.
