Men's Soccer To Host Weekend Matches

East Lansing, Mich. - The Spartan men's soccer team will play host to the MSU/Radisson Soccer Classic this weekend at Old College Field. MSU will take on Wisconsin-Green Bay at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1 and will play Robert Morris, Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Michigan will also play two games this weekend at Old College Field, taking on Robert Morris at noon on Saturday and will play Wisconsin-Green Bay at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Head Coach Joe Baum is entering his 25th season with the Spartans and will attempt to earn his 300th victory Saturday against Wisconsin-Green Bay. His career record stands at 299-202-42, if you include his five season as head coach of the MSU women's soccer team. He was named Big Ten Coach of the Year twice, once in 1996 and again in 2000.
In their only exhibition game this season, the Spartans defeated Western Ontario, 2-0, last Sunday at Old College Field.
