Spartans, Loyola-Chicago Play To 2-2 Tie

East Lansing, Mich. - The Michigan State men's soccer team tied Loyola-Chicago, 2-2, Wednesday, Oct. 3 in Chicago. The Spartans are now 5-2-1 on the season, the Ramblers are 3-5-2.
Loyola took a 2-0 lead, scoring less than 2:30 apart, in the first half. MSU's Thomas Trivelloni (So., Mt. Clemens) scored of a header at the 35:24 mark to cut the lead to 2-1. Paul Vance (Sr., Flint) picked up an assist on the goal.
Spartan sophomore Jeff Krass (Brighton) tied the game at two in the 67th minute off a pass from Jordan Gruber (Fr., Beverly Hills).
State outshot Loyola 18-16 for the game. Mike Robinson (So., Troy) made five saves in the game
The Spartans will host Ohio State, Sunday, Oct. 7 at 1 p.m. at Old College Field in their first home game since Sept. 17.
