East Lansing, Mich. - MSU men's soccer player Jeff Krass was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, Monday for his efforts in the Spartans' two wins last week. Krass, a sophomore midfielder, scored the first goal in State's 4-1 win over Oakland on Oct. 10 and notched the game-winning goal in the Spartans' 4-2 triumph over Michigan on Sunday.
The Brighton native has started all 11 games for the Green and White this year and now has four goals to go along with three assists. His 11 points on the year are good for fourth best on the team.
Krass is the second Spartan to earn conference honors this season as last week goalkeeper Mike Robinson was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week.
MSU will attempt to keep its five-game unbeaten streak in tact Sunday, when they host Penn State at 2:30.
