East Lansing, Mich. - The Michigan State women's soccer team lost to Purdue Friday afternoon at Old College Field by a score of 2-0. The Spartans are now 5-5-2 overall and 2-4-1in the Big Ten while Purdue improves to 7-4-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the conference.
Purdue's Lauren Sesselmann scored both of the Boilermakers' goals. Her first goal was unassisted and came in the 7th minute while her second goal came in the 15th minute.
Purdue outshot the Spartans by a count of 12-6. MSU goalkeeper Stacy Heller (So., Madison, Wis.) made five saves.
MSU hosts Indiana, Sunday, Oct. 14 at noon.
