Men's Swimming And Diving Announces Captains

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's swimming and diving team announced its captains for the 2001-02 team earlier this week. Senior Mike Robbins (Chesapeake, Va.) and juniors Joe Baicy (Cary, N.C.) and Joe Brennan (Poway, Calif.) were the three named to lead the Spartans this season.
Robbins is a two-year letterwinner and had career-best times in the 200 fly (1:51.00) and 400 IM (4:04.60) at the 2001 Big Ten Championships.
Baicy was a Big Ten alternate in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and is also a two-year letterwinner.
Brennan, a two-year letterwinner, was a Big Ten finalist in 2000 and 2001 in the 500 and 1,650 free.
MSU begins its regular season Friday, Oct. 26, with a duel meet against Eastern Michigan at 6 p.m.
