Two MSU Divers Compete In Zone Diving Meet

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Sophomore MSU diver Summer Mitchell (Troy, Mich.) finished third in the 1-meter event in the Zone Diving Meet, held at the University of Pittsburgh. Her score of 439.70 was her personal best on the season.
With her top five finish, Mitchell will be headed to the Senior National Swimming and Diving Championships in Mission Viejo, Cal. These are the most prestigious outdoor championships next to the Olympic games and will be held August 8-13.
Teammate Carly Weiden (Kentwood, Mich.) finished eighth in the 3-meter competition, with a score of 392.55. She was unable to compete in the 1-meter event after suffering from a sprained ankle.
