Women Gymnasts Finish Second in Tri-Meet

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Spartan women's gymnastics team finished second with a team score of 195.150 in a tri-meet hosted by Pittsburgh with Ohio State. Pittsburgh won the meet with a score of 195.925 and Ohio State took third scoring a 194.325.
MSU took the top two spots in the floor exercise. Junior Melissa Green (East Lansing, Mich.) finished first with a score of 9.925 and senior Polly Kiker (Englewood, Colo.) took second with a 9.900. Green also tied for first on the uneven bars with a score of 9.900. Elisabeth Forshier (Jr., South St. Paul, Minn.) tied for second in the vault with a 9.800.
Michigan State's next action will be Saturday, March 11 at North Carolina State. North Carolina, Denver, Pennsylvania and Boise State will also compete in the meet.
