Pittsburgh Visits Women Gymnasts On Saturday

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's gymnastics team will host Pittsburgh at Jenison Field House on Saturday, February 19 at 7:30 p.m. for its first home dual meet of the season. The Spartans are 0-3 in dual meets so far this season.
As a team, the Spartans are 20th on the uneven bars with an average score of 48.379, dropping two notches from last week. Individually, Melissa Green (Jr., East Lansing, Mich.) is 21st on the uneven bars (9.840).
Freshman Lindsay Trainham (Briarcliff, N.Y.) has the Spartan's highest score in the all-around (38.900), while Elisabeth Forshier (Jr., South St. Paul, Minn.) owns the vault high score with a 9.825. Jane McIntosh (So., Concord, Mich.) has top scores on the beam (9.875) and the floor exercise (9.850), while Green tops Michigan State on the uneven bars (9.875), which is also a career high. . Michigan State will host the Spartan Invitational, featuring Bowling Green, New Hampshire and Southeast Missouri State next weekend on Saturday, February 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Jenison Field House.
