Women's Soccer Defeated By Arizona State, 3-1

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's soccer team was defeated, 3-1, by Arizona State on Sunday at Old College Field on the MSU campus.
Arizona State senior Stacey Tullock scored two goals for the Sun Devils at 51:38 and 73:29. Tullock also assisted Arizona State freshman Holly Cohen on the final goal at 87:10. Michigan State senior Jessica Moorman (Rolla, Mo.) scored the lone goal for the Spartans at 63:49.
Arizona State senior Stacey Tullock led the Sun Devils with seven shots on goal, while Moorman had four for the Spartans. The Sun Devils junior goalkeeper Erin Reinke recorded six saves, while MSU senior goalkeeper Mara Lee (Allison Park, Pa.) had five stops.
"I'm satisfied overall with the way we played today," said MSU head coach Tom Saxton. "I thought that there were even teams out on the field today and we played really hard."
MSU's record falls to 1-3-2. The Spartans' next game is Friday, September 17 against Indiana at Old College Field on the MSU campus at 4 p.m.
