Wrestling to Host MSU Open

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The 1998 Michigan State Open wrestling championships will be held this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7-8 at Jenison Field House. The MSU Open is one of the largest wrestling tournaments in the United States, with over 300 competitors from schools such as Ohio State, Michigan, Northwestern and Michigan State. This will be the first opportunity of the season to see the Spartans' five returning NCAA qualifiers, including 1998 All-American Pat McNamara. Also scheduled to wrestle is former Spartan Jud Kramer, a two-time national qualifier who graduated in 1996. Two-day adult tickets are $8, one-day adult tickets are $5, and children 8 and under will be admitted free of charge.
MSU Open Schedule: Saturday, Nov. 7: 10 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. session 1 Sunday, Nov. 8: 10 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. session 3 6 p.m.- 9:30 p.m. session 2 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. finals
