Purdue defeated the No. 9 seeded Michigan, 4-2, earning a match against top seeded Northwestern at 10 a.m. on Friday. Purdue Head Coach Mat Iandolo said, "I think that in the history of the Big Ten Tournament, this was the best two 8 and 9 seeds that have had to play." Indiana defeated Michigan State, 4-0, earning a chance to play the No. 2 seeded Wisconsin Badgers at 2 p.m. Friday. Indiana Head Coach Lin Loring said, "We knew that the doubles point would set the momentum and it was really close. Michigan Sate competed much better than three weeks ago when we played them."
