Men's Swimming Finishes Fourth At Notre Dame Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men?s swimming and diving team took a fourth-place finish at the Notre Dame Invitational for the second-consecutive year.
The Spartans earned 865.5 points over the three days of competition. Notre Dame captured first with 1,454 points.
The 400 freestyle relay team turned in the best performance of Saturday?s competition for the Spartans. Sophomore Scott Shafer (Centerville, Va.), senior Chad Ganden (Lisle, Ill.), freshman Joe Brennan (Poway, Calif.) and senior Trevor Asti (West Bloomfield, Mich) contributed to MSU?s fifth-place finish in the event with a time of 3:10.59.
The Spartan men?s swimming and diving team?s next competition is Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Northwestern in Evanston, Ill., at 4 p.m.
