Spartan Swimmer At World Cup

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Junior John Munley (Kalamazoo, Mich.) was the only Spartan to compete in the 1999 World Cup Meet in Edmonton, Canada Saturday, Nov. 20. Munley finished 13th in the 400-yard freestyle preliminaries with a time of 3:57.57.
Also in the preliminaries, Munley placed 24th in the 100 individual medley (1:04.11). He also competed in the 100 freestyle (51.78), finishing 33rd.
Munley will be representing the U.S. at the World Cup meet in Edmonton, Nov. 20 in the freestyle events. The Spartans next team meet is Dec. 2-4, at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
