Spartan Divers Qualify For NCAA Regionals

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Freshman Summer Mitchell (Troy, Mich.) and sophomore Carly Weiden qualified for the NCAA Diving Regionals last Saturday, Nov.13, against Eastern Michigan in the Spartans 156-87 victory.

Mitchell finished first in the 1- (283.75 points) and 3-meter (271.80 points) dives, qualifying in both events. Wedien qualified in the 1-meter dive with 281.78 points to finish second. To qualify, divers must score at least 255 points for the 1-meter and 270 points for the 3-meter. The Diving Regionals will be held March 10-11 at a site to be determined.
