Four Swimmers to World Cup Series In Maryland

East Lansing, Mich. - Four Michigan State swimmers will travel to Maryland Nov. 17-18, to compete in the Governing Body of World Swimming (FINA) World Cup Series. Representing MSU are junior John Munley (Kalamazoo, Mich.), sophomore Aaron Mahaney (Easton, Pa.), freshman Katie Duncombe (Erie, Pa.) and senior Dianne Oliver (Louisville, Ky.).
Munley will compete in the 200 and 400 freestyle. Mahaney will swim the 200 butterfly. Duncombe will compete in the 50 and 100 backstroke events, while Oliver will swim the 50 freestyle. Munley will also represent the U.S. at the World Cup meet in Edmonton, Nov. 19-20 in the freestyle events.
