Theo Belhomme is in his third year on the athletic training staff for football at Michigan State.
Prior to arriving at MSU, Belhomme worked as an assistant athletic trainer with the football program at Louisville from July 2021 to August 2022. He also spent two years (2019-21) at UTSA as a resident athletic trainer providing coverage to the football and men’s tennis teams.
While completing his master’s degree at Texas Tech, Belhomme worked with the Red Raider football and men’s basketball programs. During his time with men’s basketball, the Red Raiders advanced to the 2019 Final Four and the national championship game in Minneapolis. Belhomme also gained experience as a graduate athletic training student at Coronado High School and provided medical emergency management at the Buffalo Springs Triathlon in Lubbock.
A native of Kissimeee, Florida, Belhomme graduated with his bachelor’s degree in sports and exercise science from Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2017 and earned his master’s degree in athletic training from the Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2019. He is a certified athletic trainer and exercise specialist and also certified in Level 2 dry needling, IV fluid therapy and Owens Recovery Science blood flow restriction. In addition, he is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), the College Athletic Trainers Society and the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association.
Belhomme and his wife, Amber, have three dogs: Deojie, Denver and Daxx.
