Ava Woodard
- Title:
- Student Coach
Ava Woodard was a four-year rowing letterwinner for the Spartans, and stays on in East Lansing in 2026-27 as a student coach.
Woodard was a part of a resurgence in the women’s rowing program under head coach Stacey Rippetoe, competing in the varsity eight as a senior after two years in MSU’s second varsity eight. A three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and CRCA National Scholar-Athlete Award recipient, Woodard will not only assist with all aspects of the rowing program on the water, but be a resource for all of MSU’s new rowers who join the program as out-of-sport athletes.
A Spartan legacy with several family members who previously attended MSU, Woodard came to MSU after a prep career where she was an All-Conference and All-State selection in field hockey and also earned All-Region honors in track and field.
