Andrew Kolpacki is in his seventh year on the full-time staff at Michigan State, his sixth as the head football equipment manager.
Kolpacki returned to his alma mater in 2019 as an assistant football operations director before transitioning to his current role in 2020. Kolpacki is responsible for the issuing, inventory and maintenance of all equipment for the football program. He also handles the budgeting and purchasing for the football equipment room. In addition, Kolpacki supervises the student managers.
Prior to arriving back in East Lansing, Kolpacki spent two years at Wayne State. He joined WSU as a graduate assistant equipment manager in the fall of 2017 and was promoted to a full-time athletic equipment manager position in May of 2018. In addition to serving as the football equipment manager, Kolpacki assisted with all varsity athletic events in both and equipment and facility role for the Warriors.
Kolpacki served the 2016-2017 NFL Season as a staff assistant with the Miami Dolphins. He kept an up-to-date track of inventory of multiple storage units of equipment and apparel, while also managing the laundry room and assisting with moving and set-up of all equipment needed for game day. In addition, he was in charge of prepping game kicking balls for the Dolphins specialists (long snapper, punter and kicker) on game day.
Kolpacki graduated from Michigan State in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology with a specialization in coaching and later earned his master’s degree in sports administration from Wayne State in 2018. While a student in East Lansing, he began as a football student manager (2011-13) before being elevated to head student football manager for two years (2013-15). Kolpacki spent the 2015-2016 season as a football equipment manager intern at MSU.
