At the Bahia Open in October of 2007, Paiva competed in both singles and doubles action at the Bahia Open in 2007 ... She advanced to the semi-finals in singles before falling to Carla Lucero, 0-6, 2-6 ... In doubles action, Paiva partnered with Maisa Feital to defeat the pairing of Lucero and Miro for the title, 7-6(1), 0-6, 7-6(6) ... Paiva saw her most recent success at the Copa Gatorade competition where she defeated Carolina Abello, 6-4, 6-4, to advance to the main draw in January of 2008.
