Men’s Basketball Big Ten Schedule for 2026-27 Season Announced

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's basketball Big Ten Conference schedule for the 2026-27 season was announced on Wednesday evening.
The full schedule for the Spartans, including non-conference games, will be announced separately.
Michigan State will open the season with an exhibition game on Friday, Oct. 2, leading into the annual Izzone Campout.
MSU will play both home and away against Maryland, Michigan and Nebraska.
Big Ten opponents to visit the Breslin Center include Minnesota, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, Washington and Wisconsin.
The Spartans will visit Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Northwestern, Ohio State, UCLA and USC.
Big Ten Conference play starts on Wednesday, Dec. 2, with the Spartans hosting Minnesota. MSU plays its first conference road game on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at Maryland.
Times and television for the season will be announced at a later date.
Michigan State finished the 2025-26 season with a 27-8 overall record, including a 15-5 record in the Big Ten Conference. The Spartans earned a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the 17th time under Head Coach Tom Izzo.
