Henning Named to Canada U20 Team for FIFA World Cup

East Lansing, Mich. -- Keeper Noelle Henning (Milton, Ontario) has been named to Canada Soccer's roster for the upcoming 2026 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup, which will be played Sept. 5-27, 2026, in Poland.

The sophomore has started both games for No. 5/6 MSU this season and recorded shutouts in both, making a combined six saves against [RV] Xavier and Loyola. She has started 23 games for the Spartans and currently ranks in 10^th place in the school record book for career shutouts (10).

Henning backstopped Canada's U20 team to the 2025 CONCACAF championship in Costa Rica in 2025, where she was named the tournament's Best Goalkeeper. She was called up in late summer to the senior national team for a pair of friendly matches, including one against the US National Team before making her way to East Lansing to start her freshman season.

Henning will be participating in her second U20 World Cup, as she was also on the team in 2024 (and was teammates with current Spartans Kayla Briggs and Renee Watson). That team advanced to the Round of 16 in Colombia. She was a member of the Canada's U20 CONCACAF squads in 2022, 2023, and 2025.

The sophomore made her debut in the Canadian youth program in 2022 and has been a mainstay ever since. She made her first FIFA World Cup appearance in 2022 as a member of Canada's U-17 Team and played for Team Canada in the U-15 and U-17 Women's CONCACAF Championships in the same year.

Henning and the Spartans have a road game at No. 7/8 North Carolina on Sunday at 1 pm. It will air on the ACC Network.
