This Week In Spartan Athletics – April 8
Here's a look at the week ahead (April 8-13) for Michigan State Athletics:
Men's Tennis
No. 20 Michigan State travels to No. 46 Michigan for a Saturday afternoon rivalry showdown. The Spartans enter the final two weeks of the season as the Big Ten leader. This is the final road contest of the year for MSU.
Baseball
Michigan State travels to South Bend, Indiana, for a Wednesday contest at Notre Dame. Friday, the Spartans begin a three-game conference series with Michigan. First pitch is scheduled for 6:02 p.m. on Friday, 3:32 p.m. on Saturday and 1:02 p.m. on Sunday.
Softball
Michigan State opens the week with a Wednesday contest at Oakland University. The Spartans then travel to New Jersey to face Rutgers in a three-game series beginning Friday.
Track & Field
The Spartan track & field teams will compete Thursday and Friday at the 44 Farms Team Invitational in College Station, Texas.
Women's Tennis
Michigan State closes out the regular season with three straight home matches, beginning with two this weekend. Saturday, No. 64 MSU hosts Rutgers at noon, followed by a Sunday 11 a.m. match with No. 44 Maryland.
Men's Golf
Michigan State begins play in the Robert Kepler Collegiate on Saturday. The two-day tournament will be played at Columbus Country Club in Columbus, Ohio.
