Men’s Basketball Earns No. 3 Seed in 2026 Big Ten Tournament

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's basketball team earned the No. 3 seed in next week's Big Ten Tournament and will begin play on Friday, March 13.
The Spartans, ranked No. 8 in the country in the Associated Press and the ESPN Coaches polls, finished the regular season with a 25-6 overall record and a 15-5 mark in the Big Ten Conference.
Michigan State will play the second game of the evening session on Friday, March 13 (25 minutes after the conclusion of the first game, which tips off at 6:30 p.m. (ET).
The Spartans will play the winner of a game between No. 6 seed UCLA and the winner of Wednesday's second round game between Rutgers and Minnesota.
The Spartans beat UCLA, 85-59, on Feb. 17 at home in the lone meeting between the teams. MSU swept the season series from Rutgers and lost at Minnesota, 76-73, on Feb. 4.
