Second Round Scores

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's women's golf team is in 11th place among 14 teams after the second round of play at the Tar Heel Invitational, being played at the Finley Golf Course (par-71, 6,143 yards), in Chapel Hill, N.C.

The three-day, 54-hole tournament tees concludes on Sunday, Oct. 18.

The Spartans shot a 16-over par 300 on Saturday and in 11th place at 26-over par 594 (294-300).

Senior Keeley Marx is the top finisher for the Spartans, in 13th place at 1-over par 143 (70-73).

Senior Ana Sofia Murcia posted a 2-under par 69 and is tied for 32nd place at 6-over par 146 (74-74).

Sophomore Lucia Valderrama carded a 4-over par 75 in the second round and is tied for 46th place at 9-over par 151 (76-75).

Junior Grace Vetter and (75-78) and freshman Payton Haugen (75-78) each posted scores of 7-over par 78 on Saturday and are tied for 57th place at 11-over par 153.

Freshman Angelina Zhang, playing as an individual, is in 69th place at 16-over par 158 (74-84).
