Big Ten Announces Television Schedule
8/7/2025 2:00:00 PM | Women's Soccer
East Lansing, Mich. -- The Big Ten Conference has announced its slate of 18 regular-season women's soccer games which will appear live on the Big Ten Network. Three of Michigan State's biggest matchups of the season will appear in September and early October, all at home at DeMartin Stadium.Â
Â
MSU's first game on the Network will be its showdown with Notre Dame on Thursday, Sept. 4. The Irish are No. 2 in the pre-season United Soccer Coaches national poll.Â
Â
The Spartans game vs. UCLA on Thursday, Sept. 18 pits a pair of teams that both finished in the top four in the conference standings a year ago. UCLA earned a pre-season ranking of No. 8 after a 17-4-3 record and second-place B1G finish a year ago in its first season in the league.Â
Â
MSU's final scheduled BTN game is a Sunday showdown with preseason No. 18 Ohio State on Oct. 5, which finished 14-8-3 (8-3-2, T-7th B1G) in 2024. Both Notre Dame and the Buckeyes (along with MSU) were Sweet 16 squads a year ago.
Â
A wildcard matchup is on the schedule for Sunday, Oct. 26, the final day of the regular season for all B1G women's teams. This selection will come at a later date and will likely be determined by the games on the schedule which will have significant effect on the regular-season championship or tournament seeding.   BTN will also carry the Big Ten Tournament semifinals (Nov. 6) and Final (Nov. 9) live on the linear network.
Â
All Big Ten games not on BTN will stream on BTN+. Head to the women's soccer schedule page for all streaming links throughout the season.Â
Â
The Spartans are the only school in the league to have more than two home games scheduled to appear on the network and are second only to defending B1G champion USC in total appearances – the women of Troy have four scheduled games, and MSU joins Washington and UCLA with three each.Â
Â
In the four-year tenure of MSU head coach Jeff Hosler, MSU owns an overall record of 55-16-14, and is 28-6-6 in Big Ten play. In that stretch, the Spartans own the most B1G victories of the 14 teams who played all four years in the league (two ahead of Rutgers' 26) and the second-most overall wins, behind Penn State's 58. The Green & White is also the only team to finish in the top four of the Big Ten in each of those four seasons. Â
