The Spartans play their second of two exhibition games on Friday, with an afternoon contest against Michigan at Ralph Young Field (3 p.m.). MSU hosted Central Michigan last week and opens the regular season on Friday, Aug. 29 at Louisville.
Volleyball
First-year head coach Kristen Kelsay and the Spartans play their lone exhibition match at Eastern Michigan on Saturday (6 p.m.). After following her players through much of the summer, Head Coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll tees off in the U.S. Senior Women's Open at San Diego Country Club on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 11:32 a.m. (ET). Slobodnik-Stoll advanced to the U.S. Senior Women's Open for the first time after a qualifier in late July. She is just one of two active Division I head coaches playing this week.
