
Bingham Leads Four in Double Figures as Michigan State Beats Eastern Michigan, 83-59

East Lansing, Mich.. – Senior forward Marcus Bingham Jr. (Grand Rapids, Mich./GR Catholic Central) scored a career-high 19 points and had his first career double-double with 12 rebounds to lead four players in double figures as Michigan State opened up an 18-point lead, extended it to nearly 30 in the second half and beat Eastern Michigan, 83-59, on Saturday evening at the Breslin Center.
It was the third-straight win for the Spartans, who improve to 3-1 overall, while Eastern Michigan falls to 1-3 overall.
Junior forward Malik Hall (Aurora, Ill./Sunrise Christian Academy [Kan.]) scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds, while freshman guard Max Christie (Arlington Heights, Ill./Rolling Meadows) added 13 points, four rebounds and three assists and senior forward Gabe Brown (Ypsilanti, Mich./Belleville) chipped in 10 points and four steals.
