Get to know new Spartan freshman wrestler Eddie Homrock
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State wrestling will feature a newcomer periodically throughout the preseason in order to "Meet the Spartans" leading up to the 2020-21 season.
This week freshman Eddie Homrock (Fowlerville, Michigan / Brighton High School) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions.
1. Why did you choose to wrestle at Michigan State?Â
I chose Michigan State because I felt like it was a good fit for my athletically and academically.
2. What are you most excited about as you begin your Spartan wrestling career?Â
To push myself and get the chance to wrestle at the Division I level.
3. When did you first start wrestling?Â
In first gradeÂ
4. Favorite wrestling memory?Â
Wining individual state titles
5. What's your major at Michigan State and why?Â
Kinesiology because I enjoy learning about the human body and I want to be a physical therapist.
6. Who has taught you the most about wrestling growing up?Â
My high school coach (Michigan State alum and former Spartan wrestler) Tony Greathouse and my club coach Nick SimmonsÂ
7. What superhero power would you have if you could choose one?Â
To flyÂ
8. Favorite meal?Â
Steak
9. Favorite TV show?Â
Two and a half menÂ
10. Favorite thing to do besides wrestling?
Any type of outdoor activityÂ
