MINNEAPOLIS -- Three members of the Michigan State wrestling program found their way to the podium on Sunday, March 10, during the final day of the 2019 Big Ten Wrestling Championships at Williams Arena.
Michigan State finishes the tournament in 13th place with 29.5 points.
All Spartan wrestlers that did not automatically qualify for the 2019 NCAA Championships with their placement in Minneapolis, will find out about a potential at-large bid to Pittsburgh on Monday, March 12.
Sophomore Rayvon Foley, who qualified for the NCAA tournament already on Saturday, medically forfeited on Sunday to place sixth at 125 pounds.
Fellow NCAA qualifier, redshirt sophomore Drew Hughes, placed seventh following a medical forfeit by his opponent.
Redshirt freshman Brad Wilton also placed seventh following a 9-5 decision over Indiana's Jake Kleimola. It was Wilton's second victory over Kleimola on the weekend as he pinned the Hooiser in the tournaments opening round.
Wrestling back to place ninth at 184 pounds was redshirt freshman Cameron Caffey. Caffey won twice on Sunday, defeating Indiana's Norman Conley and Minnesota's Brandon Krone by way of 7-6 and 7-2 decisions respectively.
Other Spartan wrestlers competing on Sunday were Austin Hiles, Austin Eicher, and Anthony Tutolo. All three were defeated in the ninth-place bracket.
